Note: (Mabel) attended the University of Kansas, where she met her husband
, Frank Day Hutchins. In 1878, he entered the University of Kansas an
d graduated in 1883 with a Bachelor of Arts. He was the city editor o
f the Lawrence Journal for one year. He then entered the law departme
nt of the University, from hence he graduated in 1888 with a degree o
f Bachelor of Laws. In 1888, he entered into a law partnership with J
ames F. Getty. In 1898 he was appointed City Attorney for Kansas City
. In 1908, he was appointed Judge of the Circuit Court, Wyndotte Coun
ty, Kansas. In November of 1910, he was elected on the Republican tic
ket as Judge, Second Division, Wyndotte County, Kansas. He also was v
ice-president and director in the New England Securities Company of Ka

e Co., Kansas (the marriage license was issued in Wyandotte County, Ka
nsas, and the minister, C. G. Howland, was from Lawrence, Douglas Coun
ty, Kansas). Mabel´s husband, Frank Day Hutchings, is also buried i
n the Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Wyandotte Co., Kansas (pe
r the cemetery).
