According to Richard Rebouche, when his natural father, Leonidas Wempl
e, Jr. died two months before he was born, it left his mother withou
t means to raise her five children. Because she was working as a wait
ress and was unable to care for her children, Richard was immediatel
y put out for adoption and his sisters were all put into foster homes
. He was adopted and raised by Elmore and Marjorie Rebouche. As of t
his writing in 1996, he is a school principal in Cedar Fall, IA. DRW
