Leigh left school at an early age and worked, mostly in the roofing tr
ade, in many locations in Ontario. He owned his own company, Leigh Wem
p Roofing and Fencing, from 1965 to 1980. He later worked at Queen´s U
niversity from 1981 to 1990, when ill-health forced his retirement. H
e was a friendly, outgoing man who had a great fund of stories, and h
e was keenly interested in both horseracing and genealogy. He lived i
n Odessa.

Leigh and Doris were living in Odessa ON in 1991.
